Can You Bet On The Biden-Trump Election?

Betting directly on politics hasn’t been legalized in any state in the U.S., and that includes any outcomes from the June 27 debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

On numerous betting platforms in countries where betting on politics is allowed, Trump is the slight odds favorite to win the November election.

Here are the current odds via MyBookie:

  • Donald Trump -175

  • Joe Biden +330

  • Gavin Newsom +800

  • Michelle Obama +1000

  • Kamala Harris +2500

  • Gretchen Whitmer +2800

Following the debate, Biden fell as the favorite. With these updated odds we see names like Michelle Obama and Gavin Newsom emerge.

Charlotte County deputies say Salim Qadir was running an illegal gambling ring at the Tiffany Square Bingo Hall in Englewood.

Charlotte County deputies discovered Salim Qadir running an illegal gambling ring at Tiffany Square Bingo Hall in Englewood, where they seized 196 slot machines.

Slot machines, being games of chance, are illegal.

Bob Jarvis, a gambling law professor, highlighted that illegal gambling businesses nationwide generate substantial revenue, expected to rise from $36 billion to $54 billion by 2029.

Captain John Heck from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office emphasized the financial exploitation of retirees and the criminal implications of these operations. Qadir was arrested in Georgia and faces serious felony charges.

Despite law enforcement efforts, experts believe illegal gambling will persist due to the ease of setting up such operations.

All one has to do is purchase these machines, setup reserve funds for initial payouts then quickly the machines begin paying for themselves.

Several individuals in Charlotte County face charges, which will escalate from misdemeanors to felonies on Monday.

FATHER-SON DUO

Collective efforts from Bronny, LeBron, the Lakers and 29 other teams produce the NBA's 1st active father and son duo.

LeBron James can become teammates next season with his oldest son, Bronny, a fairytale-like development made possible by collective efforts.

  • First, the other 29 teams had to curb any urge to select Bronny in the 2024 NBA Draft presented by State Farm, and all did.

  • Second, the Los Angeles Lakers, his father’s team since 2018, had to make that choice at No. 55, which was the easiest decision of the entire draft.

  • Third, LeBron James needed to last 21 years in the league to make this possible, and he carried his end of the deal with amazing results.

They become the league’s first active father and son duo, which represents a celebratory achievement in several ways.

This has happened in other sports, most famously in baseball by Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr., along with Gordie Howe and sons in hockey.
