College football playoff picture headlined by undefeated Oregon Ducks.

Georgia climbed to No. 2 in the Associated Press Top 25 behind Oregon on Sunday, while Texas and Penn State remained in the top five despite losses in their conference championship games.

Arizona State entered the top 10 for the first time in a decade.

Oregon, unbeaten and fresh off a victory over Penn State in the Big Ten title game, retained the No. 1 spot for the eighth consecutive week, again as a unanimous choice.

Georgia's overtime win against Texas in the SEC championship propelled the Bulldogs three spots to No. 2, securing a first-round playoff bye alongside Oregon.

Notre Dame rose to No. 3, its highest ranking since late 2020, after being idle this weekend.

Texas and Penn State slipped two spots each but remain poised for at-large playoff bids, rounding out the top five.

Ohio State, Tennessee, Boise State, Indiana, and Arizona State completed the top 10, with the Sun Devils earning their first top-10 ranking since 2014 after defeating Iowa State for the Big 12 title.

Alabama and SMU, contenders for the final at-large playoff spot, were ranked Nos. 11 and 12.

SMU fell three places following its 34-31 loss to Clemson in the ACC title game, with Clemson securing the ACC's automatic playoff bid and taking the No. 13 position. 

HAMILTON x MERCEDES ERA

“Every moment that I’ve gotten into the car this week, I’ve known it was one of the last.”

"That was the drive of a world champion," said Mercedes boss Toto Wolff to Lewis Hamilton over team radio after the race.

Hamilton responded to his race engineer, Peter Bonnington, with a heartfelt message: "We dreamed alone but together we believed.

What started out as a leap of faith turned into a journey into the history books."

Hamilton's debut with Ferrari is set for early 2025.

While there was speculation about an early appearance in the post-season test at Yas Marina, he remains under contract with Mercedes until the end of the year.

Reflecting on the season, Hamilton shared: "It's been a really turbulent year, probably the longest year of my life.

Lots of ups and downs emotionally, but we finished off with a high today."

Hamilton's final commitments with Mercedes include visits to title sponsor Petronas in Kuala Lumpur and Mercedes' headquarters in Stuttgart, as well as stops at the team's Formula 1 facilities in Brixworth and Brackley.

These visits are planned as a celebration of his career with the team.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli, an Italian teen prodigy, has been confirmed as Hamilton's replacement, joining George Russell in the 2025 Mercedes lineup.
