MIZUHARA FACES UP TO 30YRS IN PRISON

Ippei Mizuhara, is accused of stealing more than $16 million from the Dodgers.
According to the U.S governments criminal complaint, Mizuhara faces up to 30 years in prison.
The numbers are mind boggling: Mizuhara is alleged to have made 19,000 bets with the illegal bookmaking operation totaling $40.67M in losses. The biggest recorded bet is rumored to be $160,000 on a single selection.
Mizuhara apparently pretended to be Ohtani when speaking with bank employees and used Ohtani’s money to buy $325K worth of baseball cards.
Leaked text message chats reveal even more obscene details:
Matthew Bowyer (bookie), also located Ohtani while he was walking his dog and threatened to approach him.
“Hey Ippie [sic], it’s 2 o'clock on Friday. I don't know why you're not returning my calls. I'm here in Newport Beach and I see [Ohtani] walking his dog. I'm just gonna go up and talk to him and ask how I can get in touch with you since you're not responding? Please call me back immediately.” - Per Yahoo Sports
Another text sent from Mizuhara:
“I am terrible at this sports betting thing Huh? Lol.”
Yeah man it appears so. It also looks like you’re going to jail.
I remain that Ohtani had involvement in all of this but both the Dodgers and MLB covered it up.
$1.2M WIN ON TIGER WOODS’S 2019 MASTERS VICTORY

"I had never placed a bet on sports in my life."
In light of the 2024 Masters tournament coming to a close today, allow me to take you back to this 2019 Cinderella gambling story.
A man with a mortgage on his house, two student loans and two car loans decided he would take $85,000, which he said was "everything I had that I could afford to lose," and place it on Tiger. Why? "I just thought it was pre-destined for him to win," Adducci explained when reached on the phone on Monday afternoon.
Adducci describes taking the $85,000 cash out of a bank in Las Vegas after ordering the cash a week beforehand out of a business account comprised of some failed stock money.
He sat in a shared Lyft ride, "so he could save $2," with a mother and her child, who were talking about how they were struggling to find the money to pay rent. "That was an awful feeling," he said. But with a backpack he had just bought at the local Walmart to hold the cash, he went from casino to casino to see who would accept the wager.
After being turned away by two casinos, Adducci arrived at the SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, operated by William Hill, and after Director of Trading Nick Bogdanovich discussed with his boss, the sportsbook decided to accept the wager, which ended up being the largest individual payout on a futures bet in the sportsbook conglomerate's U.S. history.
What did he do with the money? "I'm a responsible guy," he said. "My background is finance. I'm going to invest most of it. And we're going to grow it."

Head-scratching yet incredible. A man behind financially taking every last dollar to his name and betting it all on Tiger Woods.

Crosby Gets 1,000 Assists; Moves Into Top-10 All-Time in Points.
With his three-point performance, Crosby entered the NHL’s top-10 point scorers list with 1,591. He is the first player to enter the top-10 since Jaromir Jagr did so over 16 years ago on January 19, 2008.
I am including this in this week’s edition because ice hockey and Sidney Crosby holds a special place in my heart.
I grew up watching Sid The Kid and the rivalry between him and Ovechkin (who is racing the be the leading goal scorer of all time).
Hats off to Sid.
