We’ve polled experts and 61% majority like Chiefs to cover the -1.5 spread today.
Super Bowl 59 kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET today, featuring a blockbuster rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the reigning two-time champion Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs are chasing history, aiming to become the first NFL team to win three straight Super Bowls. Meanwhile, the Eagles are looking to reclaim the title for the first time since their Super Bowl 52 victory in the 2017 season.
Kansas City entered the playoffs as the AFC’s No. 1 seed, while Philadelphia secured the NFC’s No. 2 seed.
Their last Super Bowl clash came in 2022’s Super Bowl 57, where the Chiefs edged out the Eagles 38-35 in a thriller.
ESPN polled 67 experts to weigh in on who will win. The Chiefs were picked by 41 of them (61.2%), while the Eagles claimed 26 votes (38.8%).
The most common score predictions was 27-24 Chiefs.
Key Stats:
Mahomes has four straight playoff victories when trailing at the start of the fourth quarter, which is the longest streak by a quarterback all time.
This will be Reid's 45th playoff game as a head coach (with the Chiefs and Eagles), passing Bill Belichick for the most all time. He is the first head coach to face his former team twice in the Super Bowl.
Kansas City is wearing white jerseys for the second time in its three straight Super Bowl appearances. Dating to Super Bowl XXXIX in the 2004 season, the team wearing white jerseys has won 16 of the past 20 Super Bowls.
The Eagles need 27 points for the most in a single postseason in NFL history. The record was set by the 1994 49ers (131), who achieved the mark in one less game.
Barkley needs 30 yards to surpass Terrell Davis' 1998 record for the most rushing yards in a single season (2,476), including the playoffs.
Hurts already has the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in the postseason (nine). Another score will make him the ninth player all time to reach 10.

OHTANI STORY UPDATE
Ohtani’s former interpreter was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for stealing nearly $17M.
He must also pay $18 million in restitution and serve three years of supervised release.
Mizuhara admitted to using the stolen money to cover gambling debts, buy $325,000 in baseball cards, and pay personal expenses.
Prosecutors revealed he changed Ohtani’s banking security settings to impersonate him and authorize wire transfers, funding massive bets on soccer, the NBA, and the NFL—though never on baseball.
Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph T. McNally called Mizuhara’s actions “shameless,” emphasizing Ohtani’s innocence.
His defense argued his gambling addiction was fueled by access to unlimited credit, requesting a lighter sentence of 1.5 years, but prosecutors highlighted the lasting damage to Ohtani’s reputation.
Once a trusted friend who stood by Ohtani’s side for career milestones, Mizuhara’s betrayal has left a lasting stain on the baseball world.
NBA TRADE FRENZY 2025

Copyright: LA Times
The players traded this season have combined for 38-all star appearances and 20 All-NBA teams.
Beyond the blockbusters — and one blockbuster in particular — there were a number of other intriguing moves involving key role players.
There were also the usual salary dumps, pick swaps and efforts to duck under the luxury tax….
Luka Dončić to the Lakers:
The Lakers made the biggest move of the deadline, acquiring Luka Dončić to pair with LeBron James. In return, Dallas received Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick.
Jimmy Butler to the Warriors:
Golden State added another playoff-tested star, bringing in Jimmy Butler to team up with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Miami received Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson, PJ Tucker, and a top-10 protected 2025 first-round pick, shifting their focus to a younger core.
Kyle Kuzma to the Bucks, Khris Middleton to the Wizards:
Milwaukee shook things up by trading Khris Middleton to Washington in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Jericho Sims, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and a 2025 second-round pick.
De’Andre Hunter to the Cavaliers:
Cleveland upgraded its wing depth by acquiring De’Andre Hunter from Atlanta. The Hawks received Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, three second-round picks, and two pick swaps in return. Hunter’s defense will be crucial for the Cavs as they push for a deep playoff run alongside Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley.
Mark Williams to the Lakers:
Los Angeles continued reshaping its roster by adding Mark Williams from Charlotte. The Hornets received Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish, a 2031 first-round pick, and a 2030 first-round pick swap.
