COMEBACK COUGARS
Houston Cougars pull off a comeback for the ages to secure their ticket to the National Championship game.
Houston stunned Duke with a furious late rally, erasing a 14-point deficit to win 70-67 and advance to the national championship.
The Cougars trailed by nine with just over three minutes left, but a relentless defensive effort and clutch shot-making turned the game around. L.J. Cryer led the way with 26 points, including six threes, while Houston’s pressure forced crucial turnovers down the stretch.
Duke, behind Cooper Flagg’s 27 points, appeared in control until the final minutes, but the Blue Devils crumbled offensively, making just one field goal in the last 10:30.
A missed free throw and a critical turnover allowed Houston to seize momentum, with J’Wan Roberts sinking two clutch free throws to give the Cougars their first lead with 19.6 seconds left.
Flagg had a chance to win it, but his contested jumper came up short, and Houston iced the game at the line.
Now, Houston moves on to face Florida in the national championship, looking to claim its first-ever NCAA title.

MAX CAN’T BE STOPPED
Max Verstappen secures his 4th GP win in a row in Japan.
Max Verstappen claimed his first win of the 2025 F1 season at the Japanese Grand Prix, holding off relentless pressure from McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
After a razor-thin pole victory over Norris by just 0.012 seconds, Verstappen controlled the race from start to finish, marking a perfect farewell for Red Bull’s Honda-powered era in Japan.
The win brings Verstappen within one point of Norris in the drivers' standings after three races.
McLaren tried to undercut Verstappen with aggressive pit strategy, but Red Bull matched their moves, setting up a dramatic pit lane exit where Norris nearly drew alongside Verstappen before running out of track.

The stewards ruled no further action, and Norris admitted Red Bull simply had the edge. Piastri pushed late, believing he could challenge Verstappen, but ultimately settled for third.
Behind them, Charles Leclerc finished fourth for Ferrari, ahead of Mercedes' George Russell and rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
Lewis Hamilton took seventh, while Racing Bulls' Isack Hadjar impressed in eighth.
Alex Albon continued his strong start for Williams in ninth, and Oliver Bearman rounded out the points for Haas.
Home hero Yuki Tsunoda finished 12th in his first race as a full-time Red Bull driver.
BALLY/TRUMP CASINO
Ironically there will be a lottery contest to decide who can build a full casino in New York City… Here’s how POTUS could benefit.
The battle for a New York City casino license has high stakes for more than just the gambling industry—Donald Trump could pocket a $115 million windfall if Bally’s wins approval to build a casino at its Bronx golf course.
Bally’s, which took over the city-owned course from the Trump Organization in 2023, has a deal in place to pay Trump the hefty sum if their casino bid is successful.
With at least 11 contenders, including Caesars’ Times Square proposal and Steve Cohen’s Queens project, competition is fierce. Meanwhile, existing “racino” operators MGM and Genting are seeking full casino status.
The decision ultimately rests with state officials, but Trump’s involvement could complicate Bally’s bid, as New York politicians—many of whom oppose him—play a key role in the selection process.
