Jontay Porter is no longer the only NBA player involved in manipulating performance for sports bettors.

Federal investigators are looking into unusual betting activity surrounding Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier during his time with the Hornets, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Mind you, Terry is currently in the third year of a four-year, $96 million contract signed in 2022.

The NBA was alerted to the issue after Rozier left a March 23, 2023, game early, playing just under 10 minutes before citing a foot injury.

He did not return that night or for the remainder of the season, though Charlotte was already out of playoff contention.

The NBA investigated but found no rule violations. However, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York has since opened its own inquiry, with the league cooperating.

Social media posts from that time suggest bettors had insider knowledge that Rozier would leave the game early, with one user sharing a winning bet slip on FanDuel.

Rozier, who has not YET been accused of any wrongdoing, was averaging 23.2 points per game with Charlotte before being traded to Miami, where his production has dropped significantly.
